Lock it. Hide it. Keep it.

We’re all concerned about the levels of crime in our neighbourhood. Together with the local community and the student community, South Wales Police are working to ensure that crime levels are reduced.

Cardiff is a very safe city, but like all major cities it has a few problems. Student accommodation can be a gold mine for burglars - play your part to help prevent opportunist burglaries and discourage burglars from entering your home and stealing your valuable possessions.

Lock it Keep all doors and windows locked especially when you are going out

Hide itDon’t leave your stuff on display and take home for the holidays.

• Dispose of boxes on rubbish collection day, don’t leave boxes out longer than they need to be, you are only advertising what you’ve brought to burglars.

• Use a rucksack instead of a lap top bag, keep personal items; mobiles/ipods/bikes safe when out and about

Keep it Don’t let somebody else enjoy or sell your stuff!

Remember…… Lock it. Hide it. Keep it.
