Home sweet home; many students during their time in Cardiff will choose to live in private rented accommodation, moving from halls into a house out in the community. Yet there is a lack of information about living in what too many of us is our own shared home.

Cardiff Living is a downloadable pack that contains useful information and practical tips about living in your rented accommodation.

The PDF contains sections on:

Things to do as soon as you move in, Ground rules and tips for shared living, Rubbish and Bin Days, Maintenance, Home Safety, Living in the property, Useful contacts among other sections.

Please spend a few minutes looking through the pack.

Two podcasts have been produced with advice called ‘Ground rules and tips for shared living’ and ‘You’re in…so now what?’ to help you get started in your new home.

The podcasts can be listened to via www.cardiff.gov.uk/students

The poster ‘You’re in. Now what?’ has been produced to support Cardiff Living. Please take a note of the advice, print this out and display this in your property for everyone to see.

Help make this a successful and stress free year by making yourself aware of issues relating to moving into the community and rented accommodation.
